Man Shot While Driving Near Greenway Plaza

HOUSTON, TX — It's a quiet part of the city, but on Tuesday night around 11 p.m. a man driving in a black Mercedes-Benz was shot in the neck by unknown assailants.

Police investigators said two motorcycles approached the victim's car near Timmons and Southwest Freeway, and one of the motorcyclists shot through the rear window of the Mercedes.

"We don't have any information about what precipitated this, possible relationship or lack thereof between complainant and suspects," Houston Police Capt. Megan Howard said, as reported by KTRK.

Road rage has not been ruled out, according to officials, and no witnesses have come forward. In addition, officials have not released a description of the motorcyclists.
