The Big Game has closed a number of streets in Houston's center, so know before you go.

HOUSTON, TX — There's this little thing called the Super Bowl, and if you have not heard yet, it's being played in Houston this year. Tickets are still available, the parties are under way, and the nation's eyes will be all over the Bayou City for the next week.

Of course, events like this change things for a while, and Super Bowl 51 is no exception. In addition to the banners and flags and extra people on the street and sidewalks, there's the matter of traffic.

Specifically, if you are planning to drive in the downtown area this week, this is what you need to know about road closures.

The below streets are closed through February 6:

  • Polk Street (Between Austin and LaBranch)
  • Dallas Street (Between Austin and LaBranch)
  • LaBranch Street (Between Walker and Bell)
