Woman Hit By Pickup, Westheimer Shut Down

HOUSTON, TX — A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a Red Toyota Tacoma on East Westheimer on Wednesday morning. A witness said the pickup truck had the green light when it hit the woman, who was listed in critical condition. The victim was reported to undergo surgery for life-threatening injuries.

A second driver also struck the woman but fled the scene. The initial driver that hit her was on the scene working with the police.

Traffic at the intersection near Wilcrest was being diverted on this busy Wednesday morning.
