1. Two teens were killed in a triple shooting Sunday night in Pasadena, a spokesperson from the Pasadena Police Department confirmed to Patch. A 16-year-old boy was killed in the shooting on Red Bluff Road near Beltway 8, and a 17-year-old boy later died at a hospital, Sgt. Raul Granados said. (Houston Patch)
2. Houstonian and WNBA star Brittney Griner was ordered to stand trial Friday by a court near Moscow, Russia, on cannabis possession charges, nearly 4 1/2 months after her arrest at an airport while returning to play for a Russian team. Griner could face 10 years in prison if convicted on charges of large-scale transportation of drugs. (Click2Houston)
3. The third annual Sad Summer Fest will be held at the Lawn at White Oak Music Hall on Wednesday, July 13. Houston trio Waterparks will headline along with UK act Neck Deep and alt band Mayday Parade. (CultureMap Houston)
4. "Gamified food pass" Corks & Forks will help promote the food scene in cities partnered with Visit Bay Area Houston. Nine establishments are featured on the pass as of June 27. Users can enjoy prizes and discounts when they use the pass. Participating cities include League City, Nassau Bay, Clear Lake Shores, Kemah and Seabrook. (Community Impact News)
5. Megatel Homes LLC broke ground June 15 on a new master-planned lagoon community named Saint Tropez. It is located near the intersection of the Grand Parkway and Huffman Cleveland Road just east of Lake Houston. The Saint Tropez $2 billion residential community will span more than 1,000 acres and comprise 4,500 single-family lots and multifamily unit, according to a news release. (Community Impact News)

- Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced in a tweet his withdrawal from consideration for the post of Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). (ABC 13)
- A new lawsuit against the Houston Texans by accuser Toi Gardner paints a picture of what she alleges happened during two massages of Watson. The Texans are accused of enabling Watson's alleged misconduct by providing him with a membership at The Houstonian Hotel and spa, paying for his rooms there and loaning him their massage table.
