5 Places to Watch the Election in Houston
Election Day is here. Where will you be watching? Patch shares a list of places to catch Election Day results in the Houston area.

HOUSTON, TX - The time has come for men and women of the U.S. to decide upon the next president of the free world, and in Harris County, polling stations are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a state-issued photo ID required.
The question is: where will you be watching? The Houston Patch has its readers covered with a list of five locations to catch Election Day results on Nov. 8.
- Axelrad Beer Garden is "all about celebrating Houston," according to the bar's website. It is here that the Houston Stonewall Young Democrats, UH College Democrats, Harris County Young Tejano Democrats and Harris County Young Democrats will be hosting their watch party from 7-11 p.m. The event, however, is open to all voters regardless of party affiliation.
- The Harris County Republican Party will host a watch party at its headquarters, located at 7232 Wynnwood Ln., from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. Lieutenant Gov. Dan Patrick is set to make an appearance.
- Bar Boheme in Houston's Montrose neighborhood has planned a bipartisan watch party that kicks off at 4 p.m. and goes until 2 a.m. and will feature piñatas designed as Trump and Clinton.
- Sterling House will host a watch party for voters in Houston's Midtown neighborhood, with $3 shots of Fireball and Jameson all night; voters who bring bring along their "I Voted" stickers will receive their first shot on the house.
- The General Public's all-day election party offers guests candidate-themed cocktails, such as the Trumptini, a rich blend of Karlsson’s Gold Vodka and vermouth dusted in gold flakes, served in a martini glass and accompanied by a gold-rimmed plate of caviar. Feeling liberal? Choose the Hillarita, a frosty, cold concoction with Dulce Vida Tequila and Paula's Orange, delivered in a Mason jar. Voters who show their "I Voted" stickers will receive a free appetizer to enjoy with their cocktail (and candidate) of choice.
