  • Thanksgiving with Santa: The Children's Museum of Houston has planned a celebration that combines the spirit of two holidays into one family-friendly event on Nov. 23. The museum's 11th, annual Thanksgiving with Santa event will feature a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus and giant, dancing turkeys from 2-5 p.m.
  • Houston Meals for the Elderly: Thanksgiving 2016 brings in the 28th return of the annual Houston Meals for the Elderly, courtesy of Ho.M.E. Project. Hundreds of volunteers will deliver a hot, nutritional meal to elderly adults throughout Harris County on Thanksgiving morning with the goal of serving 4,000 meals from 10 distribution sites. The meals are intended for senior adults who do not have another means of receiving a hot Thanksgiving dinner.
