Accused Rooftop Shooter Charged With Capital Murder
Marlon Valdez, 18, who is a senior at North Shore High School in Galena Park ISD, is charged with two counts of capital murder.
HOUSTON — An 18-year-old man accused of the rooftop shooting that killed two brothers, and injured a man and a woman, went before a judge on Sunday.
Marlon Valdez, 18, who is a senior at North Shore High School in Galena Park ISD, was arrested on Saturday at his home.
He is charged with two counts of capital murder in the shooting deaths of 18-year-old Josue Aguilar, and his brother Maximo Aguilar, 21. The shooting happened just before 5 p.m. Feb. 21 in the 12800 block of Eastbrook Drive.

Valdez was allegedly waiting on the rooftop of an abandoned home, armed with a high-powered rifle when the Aguilar’s arrived in a car with two others, according to police. Valdez could face the death penalty or life in prison if he is convicted.
