Houston Public Works Warns Customers Of Unauthorized Website
Houston Public Works and the Better Business Bureau are looking into complaints that an unauthorized website has accepted utility payments

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Public Works Customer Account Services office has issued an alert to water utility customers about a suspicious website claiming customers can pay water bills online quickly and securely.
City officials said a number of utility customers reported making payments online through the website Doxo.com. Those payments have not been received by the city of Houston. City officials said customers also claimed they’ve tried contacting representatives through the website but haven’t received any answers.
Doxo.com is a third-party website that claims to allow people to pay their bills online. Public Works officials said that Doxo.com has not been authorized by the city of Houston to accept any form of payments on its behalf.
