Boss Confesses To Killing Man Over Affair With His Wife: Police
Edwin Figueroa allegedly confessed to shooting Rafael Serrano because he was having an affair with his wife.

HOUSTON —A mixture of cocaine and alcohol allegedly fueled the jealous rage that overtook Edwin Figueroa when he allegedly went into Rafael Serrano's apartment and shot him several times, police said. Figueroa, 23, who has allegedly confessed to the shooting, was arrested and told police Serrano had been carrying on an affair with his wife.
The bizarre shooting death of Rafael Nunez Serrano happened inside his apartment at South Drive near the West Sam Houston Tollway.
Serrano, 22, told police he was showering when Figueroa came in and shot him several times in the chest.

Serrano stumbled from his apartment outside to the parking lot, where someone saw him and called 911.
When police arrived, they found Serrano bleeding from several gunshot wounds. He died later at an area hospital.

Figueroa, who was arrested later than night, told police he was angry over the affair and said he'd previously confronted Serrano and beat him up.
During his alleged confession, police said Figueroa, who is in the U.S. illegally, told them he'd used cocaine and had been drinking when he shot Serrano.
Figueroa appeared in court Friday morning and he remains in the Harris County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
