Boyfriend Wanted For Questioning In Woman's Death

Houston Police are looking for Marcus Lockett, 33, who shared an apartment with a woman who was found dead Wednesday morning.

HOUSTON, TX -- The boyfriend of a woman found beaten to death inside her apartment early Wednesday is wanted for questioning, police said. Marcus Lockett, 33, who is the boyfriend of 32-year-old Latara Sanders, has not been officially charged and is not considered a suspect at this time, according to police.

Sanders' body was discovered in her apartment at about 12:15 a.m. in the 5600 block of Yale Street by family members who called the police.

Investigators said Sanders had bruises on her face, neck, back and left arm when her body was discovered.

Lockett, who shared the apartment with Sanders, wasn’t there when police arrived and has not been seen for several days. Police are hoping to speak with him to determine if he knows anything.
