Cool Events Happening In Houston This Weekend
It's going to be a great weekend. Find events this weekend happening in Houston and the surrounding communities.

HOUSTON — It's the last weekend in March, and there are cool events happening all over the area that are cheap or downright free. Take the kids to the park or enjoy an area festival, or you can plan ahead and find cool events that won't break the bank.
Check out the list below and find some great things happening Friday, March 29, through Sunday, March 31.
Tomball German Heritage Festival| Friday-Sunday| Old Town Tomball| Free| Enjoy a weekend of German oompah bands, brass ensembles, and of course food. It all happens on four music stages, and includes more than 200 street vendors, a wine and petting zoo, street performers, arts and crafts and more. Friday 6-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Bayou City Arts Festival| Friday - Sunday| Memorial Park in Houston| Tickets $12 online or $15 at the door| Enjoy the music and the food as you take the amazing work of more than 300 area artists.

Family Movie Night: Peter Rabbit at Levy Park| Friday 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm | Houston| Bring the kids and your lawn chairs to Levy Park and check out this Beatrix Potter classic under the stars.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince| Friday 7 p.m.| Memorial City in Houston| Free| Bring your lawn chairs or blankets. We’ll have complimentary popcorn or you can grab a patio seat at Maggiano’s or The Cheesecake Factory for a dinner-and-a-movie experience.
Houston Crawfish Festival at Discovery Green| Saturday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.| Downtown Houston| There's gonna be a lot of mudbug action happening in the Bayou City. Kids can also enjoy bounce houses, facing painting and a lot more. $10.
Yoga on the Lawn| Saturday 9-10 a.m.| Memorial City| Free|Join Memorial City and Revolution Studio for a complimentary 45-min. yoga flow to music on The Lawn greenspace! It’s a perfect way to start your weekend. BYOM: Bring Your Own Mat!
Bellaire Touch A Truck| Saturday | Bellaire| The event is hosted by the Bellaire Police Association and is sponsored by Texas Children's Hospital. “Touch a Truck” will be held at Evelyn’s Park on March 30th from 9am - 1pm. Bring the kids and check out monster trucks, heavy equipment, high water vehicles, and much more. Sensory free from 9am - 10am. FREE to attend.
Boomtown Brass Band comes to Memorial City| Saturday 7 - 9 p.m.| The music is thumping and it's a lot of fun for the whole family on Saturday night.
Run For The Rose at NRG Park| Sunday at 8 a.m.| Houston| Tickets start at $15| It's always a good thing to lace up those runners for a cause to help others. This one lets you help MD Anderson Cancer Center’s immunotherapy research.
Montrose Morning Market| Sunday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.| No Cover| Head to the Phoenix on Westheimer and shop for local goods from farmers, artisans and a lot more.
