Cops catch alleged decapitation killer
Brazoria County law enforcement arrests suspect in May 3 decapitation killing of Houston-area man.

Angleton, TX — It took six weeks, and an investigation in two states, but five-oh finally caught the guy they think took Jubal Dee Alexander II’s head.
Zachary Lyn Foyt, 24, of Angleton, was picked up by the Lakewood, CO Police Department on Monday, June 13, and is cooling his heels in the Jefferson County, CO jail on a $5 million bond, according to a statement from the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department.
Foyt is waiting to be brought back to Texas to face a murder rap for allegedly killing Alexander, 24, of Port Arthur, and chopping off his head.

On May 3, a fisherman found Alexander’s decapitated body in his truck. Alexander's blue Chevy was parked at the Austin Bayou Boat Ramp outside of Angleton, the ramp’s near the Farm to Market Road 2004 bridge.
Even though Alexander had a job, he was busting his hump as a contractor at chemical company Ineos’ Chocolate Bayou plant; he was ‘between residences’ — as the bohemians down in Montrose like to say.

Alexander was sleeping in his truck to save money, and most nights he’d park by the bridge, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department.
As the cops and sheriff’s deputies were investigating Alexander’s murder, witnesses mentioned that Foyt had left for Colorado right after the murder. Brazoria County investigators thought that was odd, so they went out to Colorado to talk to him.
Between statements from the people in Brazoria County, and Foyt’s interview, the cops and deputies figured they had enough to book Foyt. The thing is; they still don’t know why Alexander got clipped in the first place.
The boys in blue aren’t sure how, or even if, Foyt and Alexander knew each other, but they think Foyt put Alexander in the ground and took his head to cover up some evidence.
Homicide is still trying to figure out whether the decapitation was what killed or Alexander, or if it happened after he was already dead. They aren’t even sure where Alexander’s head is.
About the only thing anyone is sure of is that the only time Foyt’d been up was for a minor pot charge that his lawyer got knocked down to paraphernalia. Foyt paid a $500 fine plus court costs to settle the case.
