Cyclist Hit, Killed By School Bus Full Of Students
A school bus in the Heights ran over and killed a man on a bicycle
HOUSTON — A bicyclist was killed after he was struck by a school bus in the Heights, according to police. The accident happened shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday at East 8th Street and Heights Blvd.
Police identified the bicyclist as 23-year-old David Loya.
Police said there were school children on the bus at the time of the accident. No one on the bus was injured.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Our investigators are en route to a fatal crash on East 8th St at Heights Blvd. Preliminary information is a male bicyclist was struck by a school bus about 3:05pm. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Please avoid the area and choose an alternate route. #hounews
