Cypress-Fairbanks School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Cypress-Fairbanks is August 28. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 1/5: No School for Students (Professional Day)
• 1/8: Classes Resume
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)

February

• 2/19: No School for Students (Professional Day, Inclement Weather Day)

March

• 3/12 - 3/16: No School (Spring Break)
• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/1: Last Day of School
• 6/4: Professional Day, Inclement Weather Day
