Dallas Cowboys Running Back Escapes Unharmed From Car Accident

Ezekiel Elliott tweets after mishap, 'I'm good. I've been in bigger collisions. Lol.

He's the NFL's regular-season rushing leader, but that didn't stop Ezekiel Elliott from running into a vehicle Wednesday morning near his team's practice facility in Frisco, Texas.

Elliott, a 21-year-old who came to the Dallas Cowboys from Ohio State in 2016, was unharmed, according to police reports. Elliot's truck rear-ended the vehicle.

"We can confirm that Ezekiel Elliott was involved in a minor vehicle crash this morning in the area of Dallas Parkway and Gaylord Parkway," the Frisco Police Department said in a statement.

Elliott seemed to be in good spirits after the mishap, taking to Twitter with a bit of humor:

TMZ Sports spoke to an eyewitness at the scene of the accident, who told the site that Elliott "looked frustrated" but was "extremely nice and polite" to responders and other individuals following the incident.

According to the witness, Elliott was driving a large GMC truck and rear-ended a black BMW sedan.

Team officials said Elliott is fit and should be in the lineup when the Cowboys meet the Packers on Sunday.
