Family Raising Money For Girl Killed In Weekend Shooting
MA'Kaila Simon, a student at Lamar High School, was killed in a shooting on Sunday. Her family has set up a GoFundMe account.

HOUSTON — The family of a 15-year-old girl who was shot and killed at a party over the weekend, have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funeral expenses.
MA'Kaila Simon, who was a student at Lamar High School, was killed early Sunday morning at a party when by her boyfriend, Javon Martin, 17, pointed a loaded rifle at her and fired a shot into her chest killing her instantly.
Martin was arrested, and has claimed the shooting was an accident.

Simon, who'd just celebrated her 15th birthday, loved shop, traveling with her family and sports. The family has raised $5,125 of $20,000 needed for funeral expenses.
