FBI Searches For Houston Armored Car Robber

The FBI is looking for the man who jumped from a sedan to steal a bag of cash from the courier servicing a west Houston ATM on Wednesday.

HOUSTON – The FBI and the Houston Police Department are looking for the man who brazenly robbed an armored car courier outside of a west Houston Bank of America Branch on Wednesday.

The robbery occurred at approximately 9:50 a.m. at the Bank of America located at 11288 Westheimer Road.

The armored car courier said he was servicing an ATM outside the bank when he as approached by a dark colored Nissan Altima.

Without warning, a man leaped from the backseat and came toward the courier with a gun pointed at him.

The robber grabbed the couriers bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in the same vehicle. No physical injuries were reported.

The armored car courier was not able to identify the driver of the car. The robber was a black male in his early to mid-20s, approximately 5-feet-8 with a slender build. He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt, a blue and green ski mask, dark pants, and blue latex gloves.
