Flooding Possible As Storms Return To Houston This Week
Brace yourself Houston: Heavy rain and the potential for flooding are in the forecast this week.
HOUSTON -- Stormy weather is coming back to the Houston area this week, and will likely make for a soggy Mother's Day weekend, forecasters said. Severe weather impacted Houston and surrounding counties, with areas of Humble and Tomball seeing the biggest impact.
Forecasters predict southern potions of Harris County, as well as Galveston and Brazoria County, should see rain as early as Monday evening. The chances for rain increase Tuesday and Wednesday, with the most severe weather expected Thursday, through Sunday.
Last week, severe weather downed trees in Spring and in Humble, which contributed to the death of an Humble ISD school teacher.
