Galleria High-Rise Fire Cased By Water Cooler
Firefighters arrived on the scene — on the 25th floor — to find that sprinklers had everything under control.

A short in a water cooler was determined to be the probable cause of a fire that broke out on Sunday morning on the 25th floor of a high-rise in the Galleria area. By the time fire crews responded, around 9 a.m., the building's sprinter system had the situation in hand.
The building, located in the 2000 block of West Loop South, was mostly empty at the time, according to Houston Fire Department spokesman Roy Lozano.
"Smoke typically has a high temperature and rises, but because it was cooled by the sprinkler head it hugs the floor," Lozano. "It is a typical phenomenon to see in high-rise firefighting when sprinklers extinguish fires."

Investigators are ruling out any other possible causes of the fire, but Lozano said there is no reason to suspect arson, the Houston Chronicle reported
