HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Voters in Harris County will no longer need to wonder where their polling place is when it's time to vote. On Thursday, Harris County became the largest county in the United States to implement the Countywide Polling Place Program, allowing voters to cast ballots anywhere in the county.
The announcement was made by the Texas Secretary of State's Office that Harris and five other counties with populations of over 100,000 would be implementing the program.
The program will be in force in time for the May 4, election and allow Harris County residents to vote at any polling location on election day.
