Have You Seen Him? Gabriel Rangel Is Wanted For Manslaughter

HOUSTON — Houston Police and Crime Stoppers are looking for a 17-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed another man while playing with a handgun. Gabriel Rangel, who is wanted for manslaughter, is accused of shooting a man at a Houston area motel on March 13.
According to police, Rangel and several others were in a motel room with the victim at about 11:15 a.m. in the 12900 block of the Northwest Freeway.
Witnesses told homicide investigators that Rangel was playing with a handgun, when he pointed it at the victim and pulled the trigger.

Rangel and three other men took the victim to an area hospital, where the victim died a short time later, police said.
Rangel fled the area afterward, officials said. Gabriel Rangel is a Hispanic male, with brown eyes and short black hair. Police said Rangel may also be using the name Gabriel Calixto and is known to frequent the Spring Branch area.
