2 Men Charged In Sunday's Mass Shooting

Investigators need the public's help on locating Jeremy and Harvey Jones. Anyone with information should contact HCSO's Homicide Unit.

HOUSTON, TX -- Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office have charged two men with the deadly shooting that left 2 dead and four others in critical condition.

Investigators have charged 28-year-old Jeremy Jones with capital murder multi and 34-year-old Harvey Jones with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Both men are not in custody and homicide investigators need the public's help on locating these two suspects.

On Sunday, March 26, at approximately 6:28pm, deputies responded to a shooting at the Haverstock Hill Apartments, located at 5619 Aldine Bender in north east Harris County.

When they arrived, deputies found a 31-year-old Gary Rusher shot to death and five other people were wounded.

Christopher Beatty, who was one of the wounded, was transported to LBJ Hospital where he later died.

The remaining four victims were also transported to various hospitals for treatment.

Witnesses told homicide investigators that there was an argument between the victims and a resident.

A few minutes after the argument, Jeremy Jones and Harvey Jones arrived on the property in a white four door vehicle.

Both got out the car and started arguing with the victims.

Witnesses said Harvey Jones took a semi-automatic rifle from the trunk of his car and pointed at the victims, and Jeremy Jones took the gun and fired at the victims striking all six victims with multiple gun shots.

After the shooting, both men got back in the car and drove off.

Additional charges are pending on both men.
