Houston-Bound United Flight Loses Navigation Screens In Cockpit
A United Flight on its way to Houston made an emergency landing in Dallas after navigation screens went blank in mid flight.

HOUSTON — A United Airlines flight en route from Knoxville, Tennessee to Houston, was forced to make an emergency landing in Dallas after navigation screens in the cockpit suddenly went dark.
Passengers on United 4390 said the pilot announced the problem on the planes intercom shortly after making an emergency landing in Dallas Thursday night.
The pilot told passengers that tremendous heat had built up behind the screens, and if they'd have kept onto Houston, they'd have lost all the screens and been flying blind, according to a KTRK report.
