Houston Company Recalls Chicken Breasts for Allergens and Misbranding
Perfect Fit Meals did not list wheat and and milk on packages totaling 3,546 pounds.

HOUSTON, TX — Allergic reactions are a serious matter to many people, so companies take great pains to list ingredients on their products. Mistakes happen, however, and when they do, it pays to know about them.
According to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service, Houston-based Perfect Fit Meals failed to list wheat and milk as ingredients on packages of chicken breasts produced on December 20 and 21, 2016.
According to the USDA, the mislabeling was discovered by a distributor of the products, who noticed that though the affected packages are labeled "Lemon Pepper Chicken," they actually contain "Blackened Chicken Breast," a Perfect Fit Meals product that contains milk and wheat.
