1. An Independence Hall replica is nearing completion at Houston Baptist University. The $30 million project was boosted thanks to a contribution from HBU founder Stewart Morris and his family. (KHOU 11)
2. Dillion Denman, 17, and 18-year-old Cameron Allen died during a shooting at a pool party in north Harris County on Friday night. One mother, DeeDee Denman, is speaking out. "Multiple people were discharging firearms directly in front of the leasing office of the complex. We don’t know who was shooting first," Dennis Wolfford with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. 3. A family is pleading for the for release of a Texas dad held in Russia on child abuse allegations. David Barnes, an Alabama native and former Houston resident, has spent more than five months in a Russian detention center. His family says he was in Russia attempting to gain legal clearance to either see his children or bring them home, after his Russian ex-wife allegedly violated a court custody order and fled the United States with them. (ABC 13)
4. Common Bond On-The-Go recently opened its seventh location in the former space of Beans Café at 1127 Eldridge Parkway. The location will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, July 7 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and giveaways including gift certificates and prizes. The first 100 people in line will receive a free cookie. (CultureMap Houston)
5. A man and a woman were wounded in a shooting near a food truck in northeast Houston on Sunday night, police say. The shooting was reported around 8:22 p.m. near Annunciation and Homestead. No more information has been provided at this time. (Fox 26)

Officers were called at about 9:04 p.m. to the Conoco Phillips gas station in the 4800 block of Airline off the North Freeway. They believe the suspect was in a black SUV. (ABC 13)
- A plastic surgeon in Houston says one of the trends in her office is repairing over-filled faces. (Fox 26)
- Bigotes Street Tacos is aiming for a July opening in Sugar Land’s First Colony Mall. It will offer a variety of Mexican items including tacos, enchiladas, tortas, and more. (Community Impact News)
