Houston Woman Delivers Sextuplets At The Woman's Hospital
Thelma Chiaka, who delivered sextuplets on March 15, will likely be the recipient of hundreds of Mother's Day cards in the coming years.
HOUSTON, TX – A Houston area woman became the proud mom of sextuplets on March 15. Thelma Chiaka delivered two sets of twin boys and one set of twin girls at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, an HCA Houston Healthcare Affiliate.
The Woman's Hospital delivers more babies than any other Texas hospital, welcomed the sextuplets shortly before 5 a.m., and weighed between one pound 12 ounces , to two pounds 14 ounces.
The babies are in stable condition and will continue to receive care in the hospital’s advanced neonatal intensive care unit.

The medical team of Dr. Ziad Haidar, Dr. Sharmeel Khaira and Dr. Israel Simchowitz say the mother is doing well.
