HPD Investigating Pride Parade Mass Shooting Threat

Houston police officers are investigating a tweet threatening a mass shooting for the upcoming pride parade.

Houston, TX--Law enforcement officers are investigating a tweet threatening a mass shooting at the upcoming Pride parade. The parade is scheduled for June 25 in Downtown Houston.

The tweet was sent from a now-deleted account with the user name crehgdu123 at 1:34 a.m. on Monday, June 13.

Before the tweet was sent HPD had already made plans to increase the number of officers at this year's parade as part of the department's response to the Orlando shooting that left 49 dead and more than 50 injured.
