HOUSTON — A 19-year-old man has been charged with capital murder in the stabbing death of a 75-year-old woman, according to Houston police. Marco Cobos allegedly confessed to the murder of Etta Nugent after he was arrested outside her home, officials said.

Police were called to the home in the 8100 block of Neff Street at about 1:30 Monday after a family member discovered Nugent’s body. Family members told police she was supposed to go visit her husband at a nearby nursing home, and they became concerned when she didn’t show up.

Witness described a suspicious man who’d been parked near her home for several days. While police were still at the scene, Cobos walked up to the scene and was arrested after witnesses identified him as the man who’d been in the neighborhood for several days.
