Have You Seen Him? Police Look For Suspect Who Beat Man To Death
Witnesses watched in horror as a man standing at a convenience store counter was beaten to death by a man with a metal pipe, police said.

HOUSTON — A man is dead after witnesses said he was beaten by a man carrying a big stick. The incident happened at about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday inside the Liberty Food Mart in the 3800 block of Liberty Road in northeast Houston.
Witnesses told police the victim was standing at the counter inside the store when a man carrying a long stick came in the store.
Houston Police released surveillance photos from inside the store that showed a black male in his early 20s who goes by the name "Colombia" carry a long metal pipe.

Columbia was wearing a red, white and blue FILA jacket and is believed to be driving a gray 2006-2008 Dodge Charger with no front license plate.

Surveillance photos of the suspect, including one with him holding a metal pipe. Police also identified the victim as Terry Calhoun, 46.

According to police, witnesses saw Columbia hit Calhoun with the pipe, striking him in the forehead. Calhoun staggered backward away from the attack, and Columbia hit him once more, witnesses said.

Several people inside the store carried Calhoun outside and performed CPR until police and EMS arrived. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Investigators are working to determine a reason behind the attack, but witnesses told police Columbia said something about Calhoun owing him money.
