Man Charged With Capital Murder In Clear Lake Woman's Death
Darrell Burnside, 49, is charged with capital murder in the stabbing death of 25-year-old Ashley George, police said.

HOUSTON, TX -- A man suspected of killing his wife in Mississippi in January has been charged with the capital murder of his 25-year-old girlfriend, investigators said. Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators filed capital murder charges against 49-year-old Darrell Burnside in the stabbing death of his girlfriend Ashley George.
Police said Burnside, who is in custody at the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office in Lake Charles, La., was interviewed Thursday morning by Harris County homicide investigators.
Burnside is accused of stabbing George to death in Clear Lake on April 24. Police found her abandoned car inside Clear Lake Park about 4 a.m. that day. Her body was found a few hours later along the banks of Clear Lake, not far from her car.

Police said Burnside was George's boyfriend, and that she allegedly took part in the murder of Burnside's wife earlier this year.
Police have not said if Burnside will be extradited to Texas to face capital murder charges.
