Man Plunges To Death At UH-Downtown Campus While Fleeing Police
A man who'd been kicked out of a bar, fell to his death after he hopped over a railing while running from police, officials said.
HOUSTON — A 35-year-old man died Sunday night after he fell to his death while allegedly evading police on the University of Houston-Downtown campus, officials said. Police were called to the 100 block of Girard at about 7 p.m. after officials said the man had been kicked out of a bar and allegedly fired gunshots in the air.
According to police, the man jumped off an overhang to evade police and fell two stories to his death.
Downtown officers are at 100 Girard investigating a deceased male. Male was avoiding officers and fell/jumped off a overhang. Male was reported firing gunshots in the area. Homicide, CSU, ME, PCT 1 Constable and UHD Police are on scene. 202 pic.twitter.com/LtFaYkAREO

The man, who has not been identified, was found dead a short time later next to a parking garage on the university campus.
