Man Struck, Killed Crossing Street In North Houston

Officials said the driver of the car that hit the man was questioned and released.

HOUSTON, TX — A man crossing the street in Houston was struck and killed by a car on Thursday, officials said.

The man was crossing the street in the area of 200 Cavalcade Street at 7 p.m. Officials said the man was not crossing the road at a crosswalk.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car that hit the man was questioned and released. Officials said he didn't appear to be intoxicated.
