Motorcyclist Killed In Crash During Police Pursuit
Investigators are trying to determine why a motorcyclist who was killed during a pursuit fled from deputy constables Thursday morning.

HOUSTON, TX -- A motorcyclist who fled from deputy constables Thursday morning was killed when he crashed into a concrete barrier near downtown, according to police. The crash happened about 8 a.m. at the interchange of Loop 610 and the Eastex Freeway.
Police said the man was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle and running from deputy constables northbound on the Eastex Freeway.
Investigators said the motorcyclist lost control when he took the westbound ramp to 610 Loop and hit the concrete barrier on the north side of the freeway.

He was thrown from the motorcycle and fell about 20 feet on the grassy area beneath the interchange ramp.
He was transported by paramedics to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing. The Harris County Precinct 1 Constables Office is investigating why he fled from deputies.
His identity has not been released.
