Oink! Uber Wants To Deliver Piglets To Your Office

The transportation company is partnering with Petite Porkers Farm to raise money for Harris County's 4-H program.

HOUSTON, TX — Want to make your office a bit livelier — and cuter — on Wednesday? Uber and Petite Porkers Farm want to help. Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., the ride-sharing company, as a way of celebrating the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, will deliver piglets to your office and let you and your colleagues share some playtime with the little porkers.

All you have to do is look for the orange card that will pop up on your Uber app beginning at 11 a.m.; tap it, and the piglets will be on their way. There's a $25 charge, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Harris County 4-H's youth education program.

Once the piggies arrive at your place of work, you'll have 15 minutes to play with them. Remember, pigs are intelligent and sociable, and you already know how cute they are, so expect some cuddles and smiles. Uber stated that offices must have an enclosed, secure space that can be dedicated to the piglets and suggested that a manager or boss be notified and made aware of the porcine delivery. The program is for offices only; no piglets will be delivered to apartments or homes.

"Demand will be high so your patience is appreciated," Uber said in a statement. "We’ll do our best to make as many piglet deliveries as possible, but availability is limited." The program is running only in Houston.
