Papa John's Pizza Pays Delivery Driver's Funeral Expenses

HOUSTON — The President of Papa John's Houston has offered to pay the funeral expenses for one of their delivery drivers who was shot and killed at an apartment complex Thursday night.

Keith Sullins released a statement on Friday expressing the company's full cooperation with the law enforcement investigation and condolences to the driver's family.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and team members. We will support the family during this difficult time and plan to pay for his funeral services," Sullins said in a statement.

The 44-year-old delivery driver, identified as Glenn Allen Takakura had delivered a pizza at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, at an apartment complex in the 21000 block of Inverness Forest near FM 1960, when witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot.

Takakura was found a short time later in the parking lot with his car running nearby, police said.

Investigators have not said if he was robbed. The case is under investigation.
