Pct. 1 Constables Office Partners On Weekend Fun Run In Downtown

The fun run will he held on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Sam Houston Park, located in downtown at 1100 Bagby Street.

HOUSTON — Harris County Constable Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen's office, and the Houston Bar Association are partnering this weekend for the 34th John J. Eikenburg Law Week 8K Fun Run.

The fun run will he held on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Sam Houston Park, located in downtown at 1100 Bagby Street and will benefit The Center.

The race begins at Sam Houston Park and follows a course along the Buffalo Bayou. The event features a competitive 8K Run, a 1-mile Walk, and a 1K non-competitive Kids’ Run, and Adopt-a-Walker.

For the past 34 years, the Houston Bar Association’s Law Week Fun Run has raised over $1.3 million for The Center and its programs.

"As The Center continues to rebuild post Harvey, I fully support the programs that are offered at The Center by continuing to support this annual event. I feel it is our responsibility to further the mission set forth by such a great organization," said Constable Alan Rosen.

Immediately following race events, participants can enjoy the post-race party for door prizes, cash prizes, awards and the President’s Trophy.

Live music provided by Grand Old Grizzly, food, drinks, and fun activities for all ages. Entry fees start at $18 for the 1 Mile Walk; $35 for the 8K, and $250 for group entries.

Participants in the event will receive a race day bag that includes event goodies and a T-Shirt. Packet pick-up is Friday, Feb. 15 at The Center from 8:00 a.m.- 6:30 p.m.
