Houston Police Arrest Man Accused Of Killing His Friend
Jalin Damone Charles, 18, is charged with murder in the Jan. 18 shooting death of 19-year-old Charles Robinson Jr., police said.

HOUSTON — A man accused of shooting another man to death during an argument on Jan. 18 was arrested by Houston Police on Wednesday. Jalin Damone Charles, 18, is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court shortly after his arrest.
According to police, Charles shot and killed 19-year-old Charles Robinson Jr. in the 6600 Scott Street.
Police were called to the area at about 9:25 p.m. last Friday for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Robinson dead. Investigators said he'd been shot several times.

According to police, Robinson and Charles got into an argument after Charles allegedly insulted Robinson's girlfriend as they were all out driving.
Witnesses told police that Charles got out of the car, and when Robinson got out to talk with him, Charles reportedly turned and fired several shots at his friend, and fled on foot.

The investigation led officers to a business in the 2100 block of North Main Street on Wednesday where they found Charles outside.
He was taken into custody at about 6:50 p.m. without incident. Charles is being held in the Harris County Jail. His bail has not been set.
