Police Seize 200 Machines, Cash During Illegal Game Room Raid
Police have raided the same gaming operation 3 times in just over six months, officials said.

HOUSTON — More than 200 gambling machines and thousands in cash were seized during a raid of an illegal game room in South Houston.
Deputies from Harris County Pct 1 Constables Office raided the illegal game room in the 1500 block of College Avenue at about 9 p.m. Thursday.
“It’s stealing, is the way I look at it,” said Harris County Pct. 1 Constable Alan Rosen.

Officials said the operation has actually grown since deputies last raided the game room in June 2018.
Deputies detained six people inside the game room during the raid, and officials said they will likely face a variety of criminal charges.

“We’re trying to get them to understand that their activity is not going to be tolerated,” added Rosen.
