Porn Convention Out of Second Houston Hotel

The TEXXXAS Adult Expo was kicked out of a second hotel in as many weeks.

HOUSTON, TX — Another week, another hotel kicking the TEXXXAS Adult Expo out. Last week it was the Hilton Houston Southwest in the Galleria that canceled the convention's Aug. 17-20 booking.

The decision was made because the National Center on Sexual Exploitation expressed concern that a convention full of adult film stars will increase the demand for prostitution and sex.

A few days later, convention organizer John Gray crowed that the convention would be at a Holiday Inn just outside of Beltway 8 near West Bellfort. It seems that Gray's celebration was a bit premature.

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation, the group that helped get the convention booted from the first location, reached out to Holiday Inn's parent company and reminded them of the "potential harms such an event could have on the local community," the group wrote in a statement.

After the independently owned and operated Holiday Inn received word from their parent corporation the expo was canceled.

If the expo can find a hotel willing to host it, the event will bring female porn stars Cherie Deville, Olivia Austin, Dillion Harper, Mia Vallis and Aysia Garza to Houston to sign autographs and meet fans.

The event will also bring male stars Evan Stone, Brett Rossi and Mick Blue to town. Legendary porn stars Ron Jeremy and Nina Hartley will also be attending.

Local strip club owners are planning after parties at various venues in town, the idea being that touring performers will help increase the club's bottom dollar. Whether the event will happen or not remains to be seen.
