Super Bowl Eats: Baby's Badass Burgers is Rolling Into Houston

'Burger Babes' will probably attract lots of hungry customers, football fans and otherwise.

HOUSTON, TX — How many more burgers does Houston need? Every week seems to bring the announcement of yet another special iteration of the American staple offered up at one restaurant or another. Houston even gets special appearances by out-of-town burgers.

Well, how about hamburgers served out of a pink food truck by women known as "burger babes"? That could be a winner.

Baby's Badass Burgers is coming to town, and will star at their official Bayou City premiere on Friday, January 27, at Lucky's Pub in the Heights.

Erica Cohen and Lori Barbera launched Baby's in 2009; both women had experience in the restaurant industry, and felt the time was right to get into food trucks. Plus, they cite studies showing that 48 percent of Americans eat a hamburger at least once a week.

Plus, the babes. Let's just say that the people manning the pink trucks are handy with a spatula and know how to handle buns and ground meat. They receive training in health and sanitation, and take their cooking seriously.
