Teen Died Of Brain Tumor After School Fight, Report Says
Kashala Francis, a student at Attucks Middle School, died of a brain tumor less than a week after she was beaten up after school.

HOUSTON — A 13-year-old girl who died several days after a vicious attack by two girls while she walked home from school, died of a brain tumor, according to the coroner’s report.
Kashala Francis died three days after she was attacked and beaten on April 18. She was rushed to Texas Children’s Hospital after she complained of a severe headache and fell unconscious on April 21.
According to the medical examiner’s report, Francis died due to complications of intracranial neoplasm, a brain tumor that's can occur in teens and young adults. Officials didn't say if the fight contributed to her death.

Doctors at Texas Children’s Hospital discovered the brain tumor discovered shortly after she arrived at the hospital on April 21. She died without ever waking up on April 24.

The Houston Police Department is investigating. So far, charges have not been filed.
