Update: Houston Police Shot Man in Montrose Armed With Pellet Gun

Houston Police officers shot a man in Montrose armed with a pellet gun.

HOUSTON, TX — On Sunday afternoon two Houston Police Department officers responded to a call about a man with a gun near the intersection of Youakum Boulevard and West Alabama Street, close to the campus of the University of St. Thomas' campus.

The weapon turned out to be a realistic-looking pellet gun, according to 61 Riesner St. The two officers shot the man with the pellet gun, he was taken to Ben Taub and was in critical but stable condition.

Neither of the officers were injured.
