Arrest Made In Gessner Road Rage Shooting: Police
The shooting happened Saturday in the 9000 block of Gessner Road, police said.

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 9000 Gessner Road about 4:45 p.m. on Saturday (February 22).

The suspect, David C. Smith (w/m, 36), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 351st State District Court.

The victim, 36, was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for his wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer J. Kimbrough reported:
The victim and Smith got into a road rage incident while driving near the above address. Both men pulled into a parking lot at the above address and, during the argument, Smith shot the victim. He was transported to the hospital.
Officers arrived on scene and detained Smith for questioning. Smith admitted to shooting the victim and was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in this incident.
