Canadian Mounties Arrest Man Charged In Local Child Sex Assault
Royal Canadian Mounted Police arrest man charged in Harris County for sexual assault of a child. He was trying to sneak into Canada.

HOUSTON, TX — A man charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Harris County was walking through a patch of woods trying to sneak into Canada when he was arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police last November. Authorities believe Aamir Khan, 41, was trying to enter Canada and eventually make his way back to his native country Pakistan.
"He was literally walking through the woods," said Kim Bryant, who's head of the fugitive apprehension department of the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. "We’d like to thank the Mounties for capturing him, so he can be held accountable, and his young victim can see justice."
After his arrest in Quebec, Khan sought asylum in Canada, which he was denied and ordered to be extradited back to the United States, according to the DA's office.
