Honor Our Heroes at the Memorial Day Half Marathon, 10K and 5K
Celebrate courage, community and remembrance with every step at Houston Running Company's annual event at Houston's St. Thomas High School.

Lace up for a heroic cause this Memorial Day! Houston Running Companyβs (HRC) annual Memorial Day Half Marathon, 10K and 5K returns on Monday, May 26, honoring the brave men and women of the U.S. military who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. This meaningful event invites runners, walkers, and families (even those with children in strollers) to join in remembrance.
Held at St. Thomas High School, located at 4500 Memorial Drive in Houston, this event is part of HRCβs popular Holiday Series, marking its fifth in the lineup out of nine throughout the year. The Half Marathon will begin at 7 a.m., followed by the 10K and 5K, both starting at 7:30 a.m. An award ceremony will take place at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Kids/Family 1K at 9:30 a.m.
βThis event is more than just a way to get out and get active - itβs a tribute to our nationβs fallen heroes,β said race co-founder Randi Schooley. βEvery mile covered is a way to honor those who served and sacrificed for our country, as well as an acknowledgement of the sacrifices of their family members and friends. Itβs a powerful reminder of what Memorial Day truly represents.β
