Houston Rodeo's 2017 Concert Lineup Mixes Superstar Veterans With Newcomers
Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, Alicia Keys, and The Chainsmokers are all set to wow Livestock Show audiences.

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a big deal. Hundreds of thousands of people attend the extravaganza every year, to admire the animals, drink and eat their fill, and see some great concerts.
How big is it all? Well, a 2010 study of the show's economic impact found that annual aggregate gross sales in Houston are increased by $475,403,000 and annual personal incomes are raised by $290,710,000 as a result. That’s not chump change, and this year’s version, the 85th, will be no different.
To this year’s musical calendar, what’s not to like about Alicia Keys, Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, and Zac Brown Band? Absolutely nothing, and the phone lines and website are going to be busy on January 14, when tickets for all of the shows go on sale.

“With a number of rodeo Houston veterans and entertainers who are new to the rotating stage, the March entertainment schedule is set,” said Joel Cowley, president and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. “Houstonians can see a diverse offering of incredibly talented artists at truly affordable prices.”
The events kick off on March 7 — one week later than usual because of the Super Bowl — and continues through March 26.
