Nanny Assaulted, Robbed, Leaving Donovan Park
Gloria Carranza and her two charges were getting into car when assailant grabbed her purse and ran.

Gloria Carranza was enjoying a pleasant Thursday taking care of her two charges at Donovan Park, but an assailant put a damper on the day.
The nanny was loading the children into her car after leaving the park when an unknown assailant approached the group. He ripped her purse off of her shoulder, Carranza told ABC13, and ran.
Ironically, Carranza, who was unharmed, had taken her purse with her into the park to discourage anyone from breaking into her car. When she and the children returned to the vehicle, she discovered that a window had been shattered despite her caution.

"From our perspective she did everything right. She made herself less of a target by taking her things with her," Harris County Constable Alan Rosen told ABC13.
Authorities are investing the incident, and said the robber drove away in a grey Chevy Malibu bearing temporary license plates.
