Houston Running Company’s (HRC) Summer Dash Series is back and bigger than ever – kicking off with the Lemonade Dash in Houston (where its story began) on Saturday, June 7. This is the first event in HRC’s 3-event series that also includes the Popsicle Dash (July 12) and Watermelon Dash (August 9) – both also in Houston.

And exciting news – this series is now expanding – and all three events will also take place in Dallas and Houston this year for the very first time!

For Houston area residents, all are invited to join HRC Saturday, June 7 starting and ending at Karbach Brewing Company, 2032 Karbach Street in Houston; free parking will be available there and at Delmar Stadium. Participants will enjoy a race-day atmosphere filled with refreshing lemonade, summer-themed surprises and frozen slushies courtesy of Bangin’ Drinks Houston, the official Slushie Machine Vendor for the event.

The 5K and 10K events are open to seasoned runners, all the way to novices and walkers – and even parents with children in strollers! Both events begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by an award ceremony at 9:15 a.m. The Kids/Family 1K will begin at 9:30 a.m.

"The Summer Dash Series began in 2020 with the idea of turning one of the hottest months of the year into something runners and fitness enthusiasts could look forward to," said HRC co-founder Randi Schooley. "We’ve been fortunate to create this series that is full of positive energy, and makes every mile feel like a celebration! We’re also thrilled to be expanding into Dallas and Austin to bring the Summer Dash vibes to more people in the great state of Texas!”

This family-friendly event isn’t just about summer fun and fitness. Event proceeds benefit the HRC Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering runners and walkers through endurance events that promote physical well-being, community connection and inclusion.

Registration will remain open until the day of the event. Participants who sign up for all three events in the Summer Dash Series receive 10% off their registration.
