2018 Volkswagen Beetle Dune provides high style to classic Bug

What it is: Volkswagen introduced the new Beetle more than a decade ago and it received an all-new version for the 2012 model year. They’ve made a bevy of special editions, and I was able to test the Dune, one of two special trims offered for the 2018 model year. It’s easiest to identify a Dune by black vinyl lettering spelling out DUNE along the bottom of each door. Three colors are available in the Dune trim, and my test model was painted with the eye-catching Sandstorm Yellow Metallic, which is better described as bright gold. You don’t see too many cars this color, and it drew attention everywhere I went. Less brash, white and black are also available on the Dune.
