Catholics believe in prayer and the intercession of saints.
But, why do we pray to saints; can’t we just go directly to Jesus?
Of course, we do that in prayer and our personal relationship with Jesus. So, why do we promote love and devotion to saints?
Jesus taught us to call God ‘Father;” we do that when we pray the “Our Father.” He also taught that we are all God’s family. “Anyone who does the will of God, that person is my brother and sister and mother.” Mark 3:35
We are the family of God in Jesus, the saints and each other, encouraging ALL to a personal relationship with Christ. He wants us as His friends. “You are my friends, if you do what I command you.” John 15:14
